Former Drinking Water and Sanitation Secretary Parameswaran Iyer (Retd. IAS:1981:KL) has been appointed as new CEO of Niti Aayog, after Amitabh Kant retires on June 30, for two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (24.06.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Iyer to the post for a period of two years or until further orders.
The personnel ministry order said Iyer’s appointment has been made on the same terms and conditions as were applicable for Kant.
