UP : DGP HC Awasthi retires, ADGP Prashant Kumar gets addl. charge

Senior IPS officer Prashant Kumar (IPS:1990:UP), ADG, Law and Order, will be acting DGP of Uttar Pradesh as Hitesh Chandra Awasthi (IPS:1985:UP) retired on Wednesday. Until the next DGP takes charge, Prashant Kumar will be looking after the responsibilities of the DGP post too.
