Senior IAS officer Vineet Joshi (IAS:1992:MN), Secretary, Department of Higher Education, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy following the superannuation of Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1990:BH).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (June 30, 2026), the competent authority has approved the assignment of the additional charge to Vineet Joshi with effect from July 1, 2026. He will hold the additional charge upon the superannuation of the incumbent, Sanjay Kumar, on June 30, 2026, till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
