IPS officers Siddharth Bahuguna and Krishna Rao Boddepalli have been appointed as DIG and SP, respectively, in the CBI for a period of five years.

Senior IPS officers Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS:2010:MP) and Krishna Rao Boddepalli (IPS:2014:AP) have been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Superintendent of Police (SP), respectively, in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to separate orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday (June 23, 2026), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Bahuguna as DIG and Boddepalli as SP in the CBI for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge of their respective posts or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to his appointment, Bahuguna was serving as DIG, Khargone Range, Madhya Pradesh. Boddepalli, on the other hand, was serving as Superintendent of Police, Palnadu district, Andhra Pradesh.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has requested the Governments of Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh to relieve the two officers within three weeks from the date of issuance of the orders to enable them to take up their new assignments at the Centre.
