SC Collegium recommends names of 5 judges as Chief Justices of HCs

The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday recommended names of five judges for appointments as Chief Justices in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan High Courts.

1. The Collegium has recommended Bombay High Court’s senior-most Judge, Justice A.S Oka as Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.

2. The Collegium has recommended that Allahabad High Court judge, Justice Vikram Nath be appointed the first Chief Justice of the recently constituted Andhra Pradesh High Court at Amaravati.

3. Justice AK Mittal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court has been recommended for appointment as the next Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.

4. The Collegium has recommended Kerala High Court Judge Justice P.R. Ramachandra Menon as Chief Justice Of Chhattisgarh High Court.

5. The Collegium has recommended that Delhi High Court JudgeJustice S Ravindra Bhat be appointed the next Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
