Sachin Mittal (IPoS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Lokpal of India. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (July 1, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment to the post for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mittal is presently serving as Deputy Director General (Financial Services), Postal Directorate, and also holds the additional charge of Deputy Director General (Corporate Planning) and Secretary, Postal Services Board (PSB). He has been holding both assignments since July 2024.
