Mukul Goel (IPS:1987:UP) has been appointed as the new Director-General of Police of Uttar Pradesh. He will replace DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi (IPS:1985:UP), who retired on June 30. Presently, he is on central deputation and serving as ADGP (Operations), Border Security Force (BSF).
