New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for direct recruitment to 80 posts of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
According to Special Advertisement issued by the UPSC, eligible candidates can apply through the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal from August 22 to September 11, 2026.
Of the total 80 vacancies, 28 are for Unreserved (UR) candidates, eight for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 18 for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 15 each for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. Three vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
The APFC post is a permanent, Group-A, non-ministerial post in EPFO.
The officers appointed to the post will handle responsibilities relating to enforcement, recovery, accounts, administration, cash, legal matters, pension and computer-related work. Their statutory and administrative functions will also include conducting inquiries, settlement of claims, general administration, maintenance of cash books, reconciliation of bank statements and preparation of MIS returns.
The UPSC has advised candidates to follow the detailed instructions contained in the advertisement while submitting their applications.
