J&K: ADGP Vijay Kumar relieved; Four IPS officers get new assignments

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday (30.01.2025) relieved IPS officer Vijay Kumar (IPS:1997:AGMUT) from his position as ADGP, Jammu Range, to enable him to take up his new assignment in the Delhi segment of the AGMUT cadre. Consequently, four IPS officers have been transferred with immediate effect.

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday (30.01.2025) relieved IPS officer Vijay Kumar (IPS:1997:AGMUT) from his position as ADGP, Jammu Range, to enable him to take up his new assignment in the Delhi segment of the AGMUT cadre. Consequently, four IPS officers have been transferred with immediate effect.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. SJM Gillani (IPS:1994:AGMUT), DGP/ MD, Police Housing Corporation, has been given additional charge of the posts of Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF.
  2. Anand Jain (IPS:1999:AGMUT), ADGP, Jammu Zone, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Armed, J&K.
  3. Bhim Sen Tuti (IPS:2004:AGMUT), IGP (POS), PHQ, with additional charges of IGP, Technical Services and IGP, Telecom, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Jammu Zone.
  4. M Suleman Choudhary (IPS:2007:AGMUT), IGP, Traffic, has been given additional charges of IGP (POS), PHQ; IGP, Technical Services and IGP, Telecom.
