Vijay Kumar Dahiya (IAS: 2001: HY), recently reinstated after a suspension lasting over three months, has been appointed as Commissioner and Secretary in the Archives Department, relieving Ashok Khemka (IAS: 1991: HY). Just five days ago, on January 1, 2024, Dahiya was assigned the role of Divisional Commissioner in Karnal, following the revocation of his suspension by the government. Concurrently, Renu S Phulia (IAS: 2003: HY), serving as Commissioner in the Ambala Division, Ambala, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Commissioner in the Karnal Division, Karnal.
