Relocation of railway employees with spouses soon

Railway Board Chairman Vinay Kumar Tripathi (IRSEE:1983) has instructed General Managers to launch a special drive and resolve such cases by the end of this week. He has instructed General Managers to "personally look into the matter" and to resolve it as soon as possible.

Indian Railways is in favour of transferring employees to the same location where their spouses are posted. In government departments, it is common for employees to relocate with their spouses. It is generally not denied a transfer request on this basis. Such requests are processed smoothly across all departments. Despite this, the Indian railways has accumulated a large number of such requests. As a result, Railway Board Chairman Vinay Kumar Tripathi (IRSEE:1983) has instructed General Managers to launch a special drive and resolve such cases by the end of this week.
