Chhattisgarh govt transfers 22 IAS, 1 IFS officer; New Collectors appointed in 6 Districts

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday (August 18, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders involving 22 IAS officers and one IFS officer, with a major reshuffle of the district administration. The changes include the appointment of new Collectors in Gariaband, Kanker, Mungeli, Sakti, Kabirdham and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Sonmoni Borah (IAS:1999:CG), Principal Secretary, Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, Backward Classes and Minority Development Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Urban Administration & Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department.
2. R Sangeetha (IAS:2005:CG), Secretary, Urban Administration & Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Secretariat.
3. Bhuvnesh Yadav (IAS:2006:CG), Secretary, Planning, Economic & Statistical Department with additional charge of Secretary, Commercial Tax (Registration), has been given additional charge of Secretary, Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, Backward Classes and Minority Development Department.
4. Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar (IAS:2011:CG), Collector, Kanker, has been transferred and posted as Director, Urban Administration & Development Department.
5. Bhoskar Vilas Sandeepan (IAS:2011:CG), Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh, has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Nagarik Aapurti Nigam.
6. Remijius Ekka (IAS:2011:CG), Director, Urban Administration & Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department with additional charge of Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.
7. Ranbir Sharma (IAS:2012:CG), Director, Social Welfare, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Gariaband.
8. Jagdish Sonkar (IAS:2013:CG), Managing Director, Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Department.
9. Kundan Kumar (IAS:2014:CG), Collector, Mungeli, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Kanker.
10. Amrit Vikas Topno (IAS:2014:CG), Collector, Sakti, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Mungeli.
11. Jayashri Jain (IAS:2016:CG), Joint Secretary, Forest & Climate Change Department, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Sakti.
12. Tulika Prajapati (IAS:2016:CG), Collector, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Kabirdham.
13. Bhagwan Singh Uikey (IAS:2016:CG), Collector, Gariaband, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, General Administration Department.
14. Hina Animesh Netam (IAS:2016:CG), Director, Tribal Research & Training Institute, has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance & Development Corporation.
15. Gopal Verma (IAS:2016:CG), Collector, Kabirdham, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Forest & Climate Change Department.
16. Gajendra Singh Thakur (IAS:2019:CG), Deputy Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department, has been given additional charge of Director, Social Welfare.
17. Tanuja Salam (IAS:2019:CG), Director, Sports & Youth Welfare, has been transferred and posted as Collector, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.
18. Roma Shrivastava (IAS:2020:CG), Deputy Secretary, Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Surguja.
19. Akanksha Shiksha Khalkho (IAS:2020:CG), Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Narayanpur, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Commerce & Industry and Public Undertakings Department with additional charge of Director, Sports & Youth Welfare.
20. Leena Kosam (IAS:2020:CG), Controller of Examinations, Public Service Commission, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Durg.
21. Saumil Ranjan Chaubey (IAS:2021:CG), Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Department, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Tourism Board.
22. Birendra Bahadur Panchbhai (IAS:2021:CG), Additional Collector, Narayanpur, has been transferred and posted as Additional Collector, Bilaspur.
23. Vivek Acharya (IFS:2006:CG), Managing Director, Tourism Board, has been repatriated to his parent department (Forest Department) with immediate effect.
