Rudra Gaurav Shresth gets extension as Joint Secretary in PMO

The tenure of Rudra Gaurav Shresth (IFS:1999) as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Officer (PMO) has been extended for a period of two months or until three weeks. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) o Thursday (24.11.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved to extend the tenure of Mr. Shresth for a period of two months beyond 09.02.2023 or until three weeks after joining of Deepak Mittal as Officer On Special Duty, whichever is earlier.

Three IFS officers appointed in PMO

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Thursday (24.11.2022) got three Indian Foreign Service officers (IFS) after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) cleared their appointments.

They are ;

  1. Dr. Deepak Mittal (IFS:1998) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Prime Minister’s Office.
  2. Dr. Vipin Kumar (IFS:2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office for a tenure of three years.
  3. Ms. Nidhi Tewari (IFS:2014) has been appointed as Under Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office for a tenure of three years.

Kerala: 13 IAS officers shifted, T V Anupama posted as Commissioner, Land Revenue

The Kerala government on Wednesday (23.11.2022) issued transfer and posting orders for thirteen IAS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. V Venu (IAS:1990:KL), Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Vigilance Department will hold the full additional charge of Water Resources Department. The officer will continue to hold the existing additional charges except that of Information and Public Relations Department.
  2. Puneet Kumar (IAS:1993:KL), Principal Secretary, Planning and Economic Affairs Department will hold the full additional charge of Information and Public Relations Department. The officer will continue to hold the additional charges of Programme Implementation Evaluation and Monitoring Department and Member Secretary, Kerala State Planning Board.
  3. Pranabjyoti Nath (IAS:2005:KL) will continue to hold the post of Secretary, Water Resources Department with full additional charges of Coastal Shipping and Inland Navigation Department and Managing Director, Kerala Irrigation Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
  4. Dr. K Vasuki (IAS:2008:KL), Labour Commissioner will hold the full additional charge of Director, Loka Kerala Sabha.
  5. Anupama T V (IAS:2010:KL) is posted as Commissioner for Land Revenue. She will hold the full additional charges of Commissioner, Disaster Management and State Project Manager, National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project.
  6. Dr. Veena N Madhavan (IAS:2020:KL) is posted as Director of Employment and Training. The officer will hold the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE).
  7. Dr. Karthikeyan S (IAS:2011:KL), Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister will hold the full additional charge of Special Commissioner, Kerala Goods and Services Tax Department.
  8. Gopalakrishnan K (IAS:2013:KL), Director of Employment and Training is placed at the disposal of Health and Family Welfare Department for being appointed as State Mission Director, National Health Mission. The officer will continue to hold the full additional charges of Managing Director, Vizhinjam International Sea Port Limited and Chairman, Monitoring Committee constituted for solving rehabilitation issues in connection with the Vizhinjam Port Project.
  9. Shibu A (IAS:2019:KL), Director, Coir Development Department is placed at the disposal of Social Justice Department for being appointed as Director, Kerala Social Security Mission.
  10. Vinod V R (IAS:2015:KL), Commissioner for Food Safety will hold the full additional charge of Director, Coir Development Department.
  11. Anupam Mishra (IAS:2016:KL), Director, Programme Implementation, Evaluation and Monitoring Department is transferred and posted as Director, Kerala State Insurance Department.
  12. Priyanka G (IAS:2017:KL), Director, Women and Child Development Department will hold the full additional charge of Deputy Secretary and Director, Programme Implementation, Evaluation and Monitoring Department.
  13. Prem Krishnan (IAS:2017:KL), Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department will hold the full additional charge of Additional Director (General), Tourism.

Kerala: Reshuffle in Police Administration

The Kerala government on Thursday (17.11.2022) issued transfer and posting orders for twenty nine IPS officers across the state.

Govt appoints Central Prabhari Officers for 16 aspirational districts

The Government of India announced four new aspirational districts following the reorganization of districts in Andhra Pradesh and Sikkim. A new set of 12 Central Prabhari Officers (CPOs), including four CPOs for newly inducted districts, was also announced.

Newly appointed CPOs for four new aspirational districts are as follows:

  1. Dr. Jujjavarapu Balaji (IAS:2001:AM), Joint Secretary, Department of Fisheries and CPO of erstwhile District Vizianagram (Andhra Pradesh) has been appointed CPO of Parvathipuram Manyam (Andhra Pradesh).
  2. Nagaraju Maddirala (IAS:1993:TR), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, has been appointed CPO of Alluri Sitharama Raju (Andhra Pradesh) in place of the CPO of erstwhile Vishakhapatnam District (Andhra Pradesh).
  3. Peeyush Kumar (IAS:1997:AP), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, has been appointed CPO of YSR Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh) in place of the new YSR Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh) district.
  4. Vishal Chauhan (IAS:1998:SK), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, may be appointed as CPO of Soreng (Sikkim) in place of West District (Sikkim)

  12. Pramod Kumar Meherda (IAS:1997:OD), Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & FW has been appointed as CPO Kandhamal (Odisha).

Telangana IAS officer Pratibha Singh gets inter-cadre transfer to UP

The central government on Friday (18.11.2022) ordered the inter-cadre transfer of Ms. Pratibha Singh (IAS:2020:TG) Telangana cadre to Uttar Pradesh cadre on the grounds of her marriage with IPS officer Aditya Langeh (IPS:2016:UP).

Assam-Meghalaya IAS officer Pallavi Sarkar gets inter-cadre transfer to AGMUT

The central government on Friday (18.11.2022) ordered the inter-cadre transfer of Ms. Pallavi Sarkar (IAS:2017:AM) from Assam-Meghalaya cadre to AGMUT cadre on the grounds of her marriage with IFS officer Suraj Singh (IFS:2017:AGMUT).

Justice Ramesh Ranganathan appointed as Chairperson, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity

Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, retired Chief Justice of High Court of Uttarakhand, has been appointed as Chairperson in the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Justice Ranganathan to the post on November 18, 2022.

Reena Nagar appointed as Deputy Secretary, D/o Rural Development

Reena Nagar (ISS:2011) has been selected for appointment to the post of Deputy Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Delhi for a period of four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (23.11.2022), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Nagar to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
