New Delhi: REC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Electrical Research and Development Association to improve quality testing and quality assurance of materials used under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The MoU signing ceremony was held on Wednesday at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi. The agreement was signed by Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited, and Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North. Senior officials from both organisations were also present during the event, including Prince Dhawan, IAS, Executive Director (PMD), REC Limited.
Under this partnership, REC Limited and ERDA will work together on third-party quality testing of materials used in RDSS projects across the country. Both organisations will also provide technical support, organise training and capacity-building programmes, and develop strong quality assurance systems.
The main aim of this collaboration is to make sure that all materials used in RDSS projects meet the required standards. This will help improve the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network in India.
The partnership also shows REC Limited’s commitment towards improving infrastructure quality and supporting power sector reforms under the RDSS scheme.
