The central government has notified the appointment of Justice Tashi Rabstan as Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The incumbent Chief Justice Ali Mohd Magrey will retire on December 7. Justice Rabstan will take over as the Acting Chief Justice from December 8. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court in March 2013 and was made a Permanent Judge in May 2014.
Arun Kumar Singh, former chairman of oil refining and marketing company BPCL, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC by the Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) of the Government of India. He will head the company for a three-year tenure with effect from the date of assumption of charge.
Singh was Director (Marketing) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) from October 2018 to September 2021, after which he was elevated as chairman and managing director of the company. He retired as the BPCL head 13 months later in October 2022.
Dr. S Tejaswi Naik (IAS:2009:MP) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Narendra Singh Tomar, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (07.12.2022), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Naik to the post for a period of five years with effect from date of assumption of charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday (05.12.2022) approved appointment of Abhinav Pratap Singh (IPoS:2011) as Private Secretary to Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Minister for Civil Aviation. He has been given the new assignment after the curtailment of his tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever occurs the earliest.
The central deputation tenure of Ajay Yadav (IAS:2005:BH) as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (05.12.2022), the competent authority has approved the proposal to extend the tenure of Mr. Yadav for a term upto 18.10.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Praveen Kumar has been selected for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on December 06. Presently, he is working as General Manager, ALIMCO.
He will be appointed to the post of CMD, ALIMCO after receiving vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Srikumar Ghose Choudhury has been selected for the post of Director(Finance), Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (BCPL) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on December 05. Presently, he is working as Additional General Manager, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE).
He will be appointed to the post of Director(Finance), BCPL after receiving vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
