Uttarakhand: 21 IPS officers shifted, A P Anshuman is ADG, Intelligence and Security

The Uttarakhand government on Monday (02.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 21 IPS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

Indian Railways earn Rs 1,20, 478 cr from freight loading till December 2022

Indian Railways’ Freight loading for first nine months of this financial year 2022-23 crossed last year’s loading and earnings for the same period.

On cumulative basis from April – December 22, freight loading of 1109.38 MT achieved against last year loading of 1029.96 MT, an improvement of 8% over last year loading. Railways have earned Rs 120478 crore against Rs 104040 crore over last year which is an improvement of 16% as compared to the same period of last year.

During the month of December 22, Originating freight loading of 130.66 MT has been achieved against loading of 126.8 MT in Dec. 21, which is an improvement of 3 % over last year. Freight revenue of Rs. 14573 crore have been achieved against Rs 12914 crore freight earnings in December 21, thereby an improvement of 13% over last year.

Following the Mantra, “Hungry For Cargo”, IR has made sustained efforts to improve the ease of doing business as well as improve the service delivery at competitive prices which has resulted in new traffic coming to railways from both conventional and non conventional commodity streams. The customer centric approach and work of Business Development Units backed up by agile policy making helped Railways towards this landmark achievement. (PIB)

Odisha: Manoj Kumar Mishra appointed OSD to CM Naveen Patnaik

Manoj Kumar Mishra (IRTS:2000), Principal Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology (ET&IT), has been given additional charge of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Earlier, Mishra resigned from the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) to join the Odisha government. He was on deputation to the Odisha government as Commissioner, Rail Co-ordination and Special Secretary to Government, Commerce & Transport Department.

After the Ministry of Railways accepted Mishra’s resignation, the Odisha government appointed him as the Principal Secretary of ET & IT Department on Thursday. This is considering his experience in the IT Sector as well as grounding key projects may utilise his services in any sector requirement.

As per the “Public Enterprises Survey 2021-22” published by the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, PFC has been ranked amongst the “ Top 10 Profit-Making CPSEs” in FY2021-22.

P K Dutta gets additional charge of CVO, CSIR

P K Dutta, Scientist ‘F’, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, has been given additional charge of the post of CVO, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Delhi. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (03.01.2023), the competent authority has approved the proposal D/o Scientific & Industrial Research for entrustment of additional charge of the post to Mr. Duttta for a period of six months beyond 08.11.2022 or till the appointment of a regular CVO or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

Mritunjaya Sharma re-designated as Director, Ministry of Civil Aviation

The post of Mritunjaya Sharma (IRS-IT:2009) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.01.2023), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Mr. Sharma as Director with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post and for a period up to 13.01.2027 i.e. total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.

Abhishek Kumar Singh re-designated as Director, Department of Pharmaceuticals

The post of Abhishek Kumar Singh (IFoS:2008:CG) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.01.2023), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Mr. Singh as Director with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post and for a period up to 24.10.2026 i.e. total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.

Monika Dhami returns to parent cadre

Monika Dhami (IRS-IT:2001), Deputy Director (Sr), LBSNAA, Mussoorie, has been prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.01.2023), the competent authority has approved the proposal of Training Division of DoPT to repatriate Ms. Dhami to her parent cadre to avail benefit of promotion.

Ajay Kumar Srivastava assumes charge as MD & CEO of Indian Overseas Bank

Ajay Kumar Srivastava on Sunday assumed charge as MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). The Government of India named the MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank for a period of three years with effect from date of assumption of office on or after January 1, 2023. Before being appointed as MD and CEO of IOB, he was working as Executive Director (ED) in the same bank.

Srivastava started his banking career as a probationary officer in 1991 with Allahabad Bank where he worked in various capacities in different parts of the country. After successful completion of about 27 years in Allahabad Bank, he was elevated as ED and he joined IOB in 2017.
