Saurav Dutta appointed Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie & Co Limited

Saurav Dutta, Vice President, Balmer Lawrie & Co Limited, has been appointed to the post of Director (Finance), Balmer Lawrie & Co Limited for a period five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (30.1.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to appoint Mr. Dutta to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sanjay Choudhuri appointed Director (Finance) of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd

Sanjay Choudhuri, Executive Director, Oil India Limited, has been appointed to the post of Director (Finance), Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (NRL). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (30.01.2023), the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to appoint Mr. Choudhary to the post with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post on or after 01.03.2023 till the date of his superannuation i.e. upto 28.02.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

MP: 7 Collectors among 11 IAS officers shifted

The Madhya Pradesh government on Sunday (29.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 11 IAS officers, of whom seven are District Collectors.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. M Selvendran (IAS:2002:MP), Secretary to Chief Minister, Secretary, Civil Aviation and IG, Registration, and Superintendent, Stamp, has been transferred and posted as IG, Registration and Superintendent, Stamp and Commissioner-cum-Director, Kisan Kalyan with additional charge of Ex-officio Secretary, Revenue.
  2. Kaushalendra Vikram Singh (IAS:2010:MP), Collector, Gwalior has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to Chief Minisiter with additional charge of Additional MD, MP Tourism Development Corporation.
  3. Ashish Singh (IAS:2010:MP), Collector, Ujjain has been transferred and posted as MD, MP Road Development Corporation with additional charge of MP State Asset Management Company.
  4. Akshay Kumar Singh (IAS:2010:MP), Collector, Shivpuri is transferred and posted as Collector, Gwalior.
  5. Ravindra Kumar Choudhary (IAS:2011:MP) has been posted as Collector of Shivpuri.
  6. Shivraj Singh Verma (IAS:2011:MP), Collector, Barwani has been transferred and posted as Collector, Khargone.
  7. Dr. Fating Rahul Haridas (IAS:2012:MP), Collector, Seoni has been transferred and posted as Collector, Barwani.
  8. Kumar Purushottam (IAS:2012:MP), Collector, Khargone has been transferred and posted as Collector, Ujjain.
  9. Sonia Meena (IAS:2013:MP), Collector, Anuppur has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Administration.
  10. Ashish Vashishta (IAS:2014:MP), Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jabalpur has been transferred and posted as Collector, Anuppur.
  11. Kshitij Singhal (IAS:2014:MP), CEO, Zila Panchayat, Sagar has been transferred and posted as Collector, Seoni.

Amar Singh Meena gets extension as Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs

The central deputation tenure of Amar Singh Meena (ITS:1995) as Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs has been extended for a period of two years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (29.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Kumar for a period of two years beyond 14.02.2023 and upto 14.02.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sanjay Kumar gets extension as AS & FA, MoRTH

The central deputation tenure of Sanjay Kumar (IAS:1992:NL) as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (28.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Kumar beyond 31.03.2023 for a period up to 17.01.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Richa Bagla gets extension as Joint Secretary, D/o Atomic Energy

The central deputation tenure of Richa Bagla (IAS:1999:MH) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (27.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Ms. Bagla as Joint Secretary of Department of Atomic Energy beyond 08.03.2023 till until futher orders, whichever is earlier.

O P Chaudhary’s tenure as JS in D/o Animal Husbandry & Dairying extended

The central deputation tenure of O P Chaudhary (IFoS:1989:MP) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (27.01.2023), the Appointments Committee oof the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Chaudhary as Joint Secretary of Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying beyond 05.04.2023 till his superannuation i.e. upto 30.09.2024 or until futher orders, whichever is earlier.

Assam: 9 IAS/IPS officers shifted, Swapneel Paul is new DC of Tinsukia

The Assam government on Friday (27.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 7 IAS and 2 IPS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Narayan Konwar (IAS:2010:AM), Secretary, Higher Education Department, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, MD, RUSA with additional charge of Director, official Language Implementation is also posted as Secretary, School Education Department.
  2. Pawar Narsing Sambhaji (IAS:2013:AM), Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia is transferred and posted as Secretary, Finance Department.
  3. Swapneel Paul (IAS:2018:AM), Joint Secretary, Finance Department with additional charges of Director IT and Mission Director, AMRUT Mission is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Tinsukia.
  4. Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge (IAS:2019:AM), i/c Titabor Sub Division is transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Finance Department.
  5. Rahul Kumar Gupta (IAS:2019:AM), Deputy Secretary, Home and Political Department has been transferred and posted as ADC i/c Titabor Sub-Division.

Desh Deepak Verma nominated as President of Gorakhpur AIIMS

An ex- IAS officer and former Secretary General of Rajya Sabha, Desh Deepak Verma has been nominated as the President of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur.

A 1978 batch IAS officer of the UP cadre, Verma quit as Secretary-general, Rajya Sabha in August 2021 after completing his term. He has served on several important positions in the state and at the Centre, including as chairman of UP Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC).

Goa: Collector transferred for circular seeking donations for R-Day event

South Goa’s District Collector Jyoti Kumari (IAS:2018:AGMUT) has been transferred over a circular asking government staff to contribute Rs 1,000 each for a Republic Day event. The transfer order of Collector was issued by Under Secretary (Personnel) Eshant Sawant. Now, Kumari has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), while Indian Administrative Service officer Asvin Chandru (IAS:2019:AGMUT) has been made South Goa collector.

Kumari’s circular had asked government staff to contribute Rs 1,000 each to host a Republic Day function. An inquiry was initiated into the matter on January 25 after it sparked controversy. The South Goa collectorate had claimed the money collected was to be donated to old age homes and orphanages.
