Four CBI officials get extension

Four officials (IPS/Non-IPS) have been granted an extension in the CBI. As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (31.01.2023), the competent authority approved the extension of the deputation tenure for the following officers.

  1. DIG Vijayendra Bidari (IPS:2005:TN) got extension upto July 18, 2024 (total 7 years)
  2. DIG Anoop T Mathew (IPS:2006:JH) got extension upto February 11, 2025 (total 7 years)
  3. SP Ashok Kumar (IRS-C&IT:2006) got extension upto January 29, 2026 (total 7 years)
  4. SP Manoj Verma (Second-In-Command CRPF) got extension upto August 27, 2023 (5 yrs in total)

Two IPS officers inducted as DIG in SP

Two senior IPS officers have been inducted as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

They are;

  1. Manjunath Singe (IPS:2011:MH)
  2. Divya Sara Thomas (IPS:2012:MH)

The competent authority on Tuesday (31.01.2023) approved the posting of these IPS officers in the CBI for the period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge or until further order on deputation basis.

Two IPS officers inducted as DIG in CBI

Two senior IPS officers have been inducted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

They are ;

  1. Sudhir Kallaya Hiremath (IPS:2007:MH)
  2. Satya Veer Singh (IPS:2008:BH)

The competent authority on Tuesday (31.01.2023) approved the posting of these IPS officers in the CBI for the period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge or until further order on deputation basis.

Tamil Nadu: 11 Collectors among 41 IAS officers shifted

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday (30.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 41 officers including 11 District Collectors.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Dr. K P Karthikeyan, Member Secretary, Sports Development Authority has been transferred and posted as Collector, Tirunelveli.
  2. D Ravichandran, Member Secretary, State Minorities Commission has been transferred and posted as Collector, Tenkasi.
  3. Dr. V P Jeyaseelan, Director of Information and Public Relations is transferred and posted as Collector, Virudhunagar.
  4. Deepak Jacob, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation is transferred and posted as Collector, Krishnagiri.
  5. C Palani, Sub Collector, Virudhanchalam, Cuddalore has been transferred and posted as Collector, Villupuram.
  6. P N Sridhar, Project Director, Chennai Kanniyakumari Industrial Corridor is transferred and posted as Collector, Kanniyakumari.
  7. K Karpagam, Joint Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation has been transferred and posted as Collector, Perambalur.
  8. R V Shajeevana, Sub Collector, Chengalpattu is transferred and posted as Collector, Theni.
  9. Kranthi Kumar Pati, Commissioner, Corporation of Tiruppur is transferred and posted as Collector, Coimbatore.
  10. T Charusree, Commissioner, Corporation of Thoothukudi is transferred and posted as Collector, Tiruvarur.
  11. A P Mahabharathi, Sub Collector, Tiruvallur has been transferred and posted as Collector, Mayiladuthurai.
  12. P Akash, Collector, Tenkasi has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department.
  13. J Meghanatha Reddy, Collector, Virudhunagar has been transferred and posted as Member Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. He shall also place in full additional charge of Joint Secretary, Special Programme Implementation Department.
  14. P Sri Venkata Priya, Collector, Perambalur has been transferred and posted as Controller of Examinations, Teachers Recruitment Board.
  15. K V Muralidharan, Collector, Theni has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
  16. B Gayathri Krishnan, Collector, Thiruvarur is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner (State Taxes), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore.
  17. R Lalitha, Collector, Mayiladuthural has been transferred and posted as Director, Technical Education.
  18. S Jayandhi, Additional Commissioner of Land Administration has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, School Education Department.
  19. C Kathiravan, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Magnesite Ltd, Salem has been transferred and posted as Project Director, Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project.

  21. Pooja Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, GUIDANCE has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department.
  22. T S Rajasekar, Member Secretary, State Planning Commission has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Planning and Development Department.
  23. S Sivarasu, Joint Commissioner (State Taxes), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Revenue Administration.
  24. Har Sahay Meen, Special Secretary, Planning and Development Department has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Training).

Preeti Jain re-designated as Director, Department of Economic Affairs

The post of Preeti Jain (IPS:2009:RJ) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (30.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the re-designation Ms. Jain as Director for a period upto 14.12.2027 i.e. total five years tenure under the central staffing scheme.

Moloy Chandan Chakraborty continues as Secretary, National Jute Board, Kolkata

Moloy Chandan Chakraborty (IDAS:1993), Jute Commissioner (JS level), Kolkata, will continue to hold additional charge of Secretary, National Jute Board, Kolkata for a further period of six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Sunday (29.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Textiles for extension of additional charge to Mr. Chakraborty for a further period of six months w.e.f. 01.01.2023 and upto 30.06.2023 till new incumbent joins the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Vandana Sharma gets extension as Secretary of PNCRB

The tenure of Vandana Sharma (CSS), Secretary (JS level), Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNCRB) has been extended for a period of six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (28.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to extend the tenure of Ms. Sharma for a period of six months beyond 25.01.2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Pankaj Kumar Sharma appointed Director (Production), NALCO

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (28.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Ministry of Mines to appoint Mr. Sharma to the post for a period of five years w.e.f the date of his assumption of charge of the post on or after 01.02.2023, or till the date of his superannuation until further orders, whichever is earlier.
