Gujarat: Three IAS and one IRS officer shifted

The Gujarat government on Wednesday (01.02.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for three IAS and one IRS officer.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Sonal Mishra (IAS:1997:GJ), Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary (Rural Development), Panchayats, Rural Housing, and Rural Development Department is transferred and her services are placed at the disposal of the Government of India for appointment as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi.
  2. Milind Torawane (IAS:2000:GJ), Chief Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Rural Development and Secretary(Rural Development), Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Gandhinagar.
  3. Manoj Kumar Das (IAS:1990:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary, Ports & Transport Department has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department.
  4. Samir Vakil (IRS), Special Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad has been given additional charge of Chief Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad.

Punjab: Sibin C appointed as Chief Electoral officer

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday (01.02.2023) appointed IAS officer Sibin C (IAS:2005:PB) as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab. He will replace Sirra Karuna Raju (IAS:1998:PB), who has gone on deputation to his home state.

Sibin has been selected by the commission for the CEO’s post from a panel of three IAS officers submitted by the state government.

Gujarat: Five IAS officers shifted, A K Rakesh gets charge of ACS, Home

The Gujarat government on Tuesday (31.01.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for five IAS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. A K Rakesh (IAS:1989:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department (Pers.) has been given additional charge of Home Department.
  2. Kamal Dayani (IAS:1990:GJ), Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Mines Department.
  3. Sonal Mishra (IAS:1997:GJ), Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary (Rural Development), Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department.
  4. D J Jadeja (IAS-SCS:2009:GJ), Collector, Dangs-Ahwa is transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of Urban Development & Urban Housing Department for appointment as Chief Town Planner, Gandhinagar.
  5. Dr. Vipin Garg (IAS:2016:GJ), District Development Officer, Dangs-Ahwa has been given additional charge of Collector, Dangs-Ahwa.

CBIC: Ashok Shukla gets addl. charge of Member (Admin & Vigilance)

Alok Shukla (IRS-C&IT:1988) will assume the additional responsibility of Member (A&V) following the retirement of Sungita Sharma (IRS-C&IT:1985), Member (Admin & Vigilance), on 31.01.2023. His current position is Member (IT) at the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs.

According to reports, this ad-hoc arrangement will last for a few months as the Ministry of Finance may take some time to find a new member.

Hemant Kumar Nanda appointed as CVO of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd

Hemant Kumar Nanda (IOFS:1997) has been appointed as CVO of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL), Delhi under the Ministry of Railways. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (31.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Nanda to the post of CVO, RVNL for a combined deputation tenure of 7 years upto 03.04.2025 or until further orders, which is earlier.

Upendra Kumar Pandey appointed CVO of Hindustan Copper Ltd

Upendra Kumar Pandey (IRSME:1998) has been appointed as CVO of Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL), Kolkata for a period of three years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (31.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Pandey to the post of CVO, HCL from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an initial period of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

B K Gangte appointed CVO of Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation

B K Gangte (IFoS:1996:UD) has been appointed as CVO of Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC), Mumbai for a period of three years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (31.01.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Gangte to the post of CVO, MVRC from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an initial period of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

PESB recommends Ganti Venkat Kiran’s name as Director (Production & Projects), KIOCL Limited

Ganti Venkat Kiran has been selected for the post of Director (Production & Projects), KIOCL Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on February 01, 2023. Presently, he is working as Chief General Manager, KIOCL Limited. He is the only candidate who appeared before the PESB for an interview.

Kiran will be appointed to the post of (Production & Projects) receiving vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Subhrasuchi Sarkar and others promoted to Dy DG in GSI

The officers of Geological Survey of India (GSI) including Subhrasuchi Sarkar, have been empanelled for promotion to the grade of Deputy Director General (Dy DG). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (01.03.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of officers to the grade of Dy DG in the GSI in Level 14 of the pay Matrix w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post and until further orders.

Shailendra Kumar promoted to Controller of Mines grade

Shailendra Kumar, Regional Controller of Mines in Indian Bureau of Mines has been empanelled for promotion to the grade of Controller of Mines, Indian Bureau of Mines. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (01.03.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of Mr. Kumar for promotion to the grade of Controller of Mines for the panel year 2021, w.e.f. the date of assumption of charge of the post and until further orders.
