Lieutenant General PP Malhotra has assumed charge as Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC), one of the largest uniformed youth organizations in the world, replacing Lt Gen BS Sahrawat. Prior to assuming his present appointment, he was the Chief Engineer of the Army’s premier Northern Command.

Lt Gen Malhotra’s distinguished professional career includes various regimental, staff and command appointments.

He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune and was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army on June 18, 1983.

A graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, the Lt Gen has also undergone the prestigious National Defence College course at New Delhi.

Professor Asim Ali Khan of Jamia Hamdard, Delhi has been appointed to the post of Director General (DG), Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine(CCRUM), New Delhi.

Surinder Pal Singh Jaggi has been appointed as Director (Personnel & Administration), Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) for a period of five years.He persently working as Executive Director, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Sanjay Kumar Moitra, Executive Director, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has been appointed to the post of Director (Onshore), ONGC for a period of five years.Moitra will replace V P Mahawar who retired in February this year.

The government’s head-hunter Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Sanjay Kumar Moitra for the post of Director (Onshore) after interviewing six candidates from the company including three Executive Directors-A J Morbale, Suresh Jandial and Anand Mohan -and two Group General Managers (GGMs) V K Mahendru and Narendra Asija.

Moitra is a Mechanical Engineer from Jabalpur University and has completed a course in Advanced Management from Cambridge University in UK. He had joined ONGC in 1982 and has held multiple key position at the company over the last 35 years.

Pradip Kumar Mishra has been appointed as Director (Commercial) in National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).He is presently working as Executive Director (ED), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
