Anish Dayal Singh (IPS:1988:MH) has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Thursday (28.12.2023) announcing the appointment. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Home Affairs to appoint Mr. Singh to the position from the date of joining the post until 31.12.2024, i.e., the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
As of now, Anish Dayal Singh is serving as the DG of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He was also holding an additional charge as DG of CRPF following the retirement of SL Thaosen on November 30, 2023.
