Jammu and Kashmir govt transfers six IAS/IPS officers

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday (October 31, 2026) ordered transfers, postings and assignment of additional charges to six IAS and IPS officers with immediate effect.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Shailendra Kumar (IAS:1995:AGMUT), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.
2. Anil Kumar Singh (IAS:1995:AGMUT), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department.
3. Vikramjit Singh (IPS:2004:AGMUT), Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
4. Mir Tariq Ali (IAS:2010:AGMUT), Director General, Women and Child Development, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Civil Aviation Department.
5. Mohammad Akbar Wani (IAS:2013:AGMUT), Director, Social Welfare, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department.
6. Leena Padha (IAS), Registrar, Cooperative Societies, has been assigned the charge of Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, in addition to her own duties.
