Odisha cadre IAS Sanjay Kumar Singh may join Bihar CM as his Principal Secretary

Senior Odisha cadre IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS:1997:OD) is likely to join Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary as his Principal Secretary. The Bihar government is believed to have started the process of his inter-cadre deputation from Odisha to Bihar, as the Centre has reportedly sought his vigilance report from the Odisha government. However, it is yet to be officially confirmed.

Sanjay Kumar Singh is currently posted as Principal Secretary of the Works Department with additional charge of the Food Supplies department under the Odisha govt.

Singh is not new to Bihar. Besides hailing from Bihar, he has held several key positions in the state during his previous stint on deputation from February 2008 to February 2015. During this period, he also served as Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Now, all eyes are on his return to Bihar and possible appointment in the CMO.
