IAS Officers Ashwani Kumar and Ashish Chandra Verma Transferred from J&K to Delhi

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday (October 27, 2026) transferred two senior IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre, Ashwani Kumar (IAS: 1992: AGMUT) and Dr Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS: 1994: AGMUT), from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi with immediate effect.

They are officers are currently serving in the following capacities:

1. Ashwani Kumar (IAS: 1992: AGMUT): Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Power Development Department, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
2. Dr Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS: 1994: AGMUT): Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.
