IAS Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh gets additional charge of EIC Director

New Delhi: Karnataka-cadre IAS officer Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh (IAS:2008:KN), Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, has been given additional charge of Director (Inspection & Quality Control), Export Inspection Council of India (EIC).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (September 25, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Commerce to entrust him with the additional charge for a period of six months from the date he assumes charge, or until a regular appointment is made to the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
