The Ram Temple at Ayodhya has finally got its first CEO. Air Marshal (Retired) Jeetendra Mishra has been appointed to the CEO post after around two-month-long selection process from a long list of 5,585 applicants.
Mishra has been a decorated Indian Air Force officer who held several commanding positions in the force and headed the Western Command of the Air Force during Operation Sindoor.
Mishra has a challenging task ahead to make the management and financial accountability of the temple robust, which had been hit hard by a debilitating donation theft controversy earlier this year.
He was commissioned in the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot in December 1986 and retired after serving it for over 38 years in May 2026. A highly accomplished warrior, Mishra is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune; Air Force Test Pilots School, Bangalore; Air Command and Staff College, USA; and the Royal College of Defence Studies, UK.
Besides, three new members have also been appointed to the trust, which include Madan Mohan Pandey from Ayodhya, Mahesh Bhagchandka from Delhi, and Nirmala Yadav from Shikohabad. In addition, Govind Dev Giri has been named as the new General Secretary of the Trust, while Bhagchandka will function as its Treasurer.
Mishra’s appointment is part of the structural changes brought in by the Ram Temple Trust following the donation theft incidents.
