Three IAS officers empanelled for holding Joint Secretary level posts in Government of India

New Delhi: Three IAS officers have been empanelled for holding the posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent in the Government of India. The empanelment of the three officers was notified through separate orders.

The officers empanelled are:

1. Vernali Deka (IAS:2009:AM)
2. Inderjeet Singh (IAS:2010:RJ)
3. Mohammed Y Safirulla K (IAS:2010:KL)

All three officers are currently serving on central deputation.

Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer Vernali Deka is currently serving as Director in the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Rajasthan cadre IAS officer Inderjeet Singh has been serving as Director in the Ministry of Culture since August 2025.

Meanwhile, Kerala cadre IAS officer Mohammed Y Safirulla K is serving as Director in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
