Pankaj Pandey recommended for Director (Operations) post at PGCIL

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Pankaj Pandey, Executive Director (TBCB), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), for appointment as Director (Operations), PGCIL.

The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on August 29, 2026. His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.

The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.

Notably, the post of Director (Operations) is falling vacant on December 1, 2026, following the completion of the tenure of incumbent Naveen Srivastava, who has been holding the post since August 2024.

A total of 12 candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were:
