IAS Officer Saurabh Kumar (IAS:2009:CG) has been empanelled for holding Joint Secretary or equivalent posts in the Government of India. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), his empanelment has now been approved after it was initially left out when officers of the 2009 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) were empanelled for Joint Secretary-level posts.
Notably, Saurabh Kumar is currently serving on Central deputation as Director in the Department of Revenue. He was appointed to the post in June 2025 for a period of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.
