IPS officer Mukhtar Mohsin (IPS:2005:UK), Deputy Director/ Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), has been appointed as DIG in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on lateral shift basis.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday (June 9, 2026), the competent authority approved his appointment to the post from the date of assumption of charge and up to April 16, 2031 (combined tenure of five years) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Mohsin’s central deputation tenure began on April 17, 2026 when he joined the NCRB as Deputy Director/DIG on a five-year deputation tenure.
