New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Amit Mitra, Executive Director (Executive Assistant to CMD), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), for appointment as Director (Finance), ONGC Videsh Limited.
The recommendation was made at the PESB selection meeting held on September 15, 2026.
Mitra’s name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for approval. His appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
The post of Director (Finance) at ONGC Videsh Limited is currently vacant following the appointment of former incumbent Anupam Agarwal as Director (Finance) and CFO of parent company ONGC in June 2026.
A total of 12 candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel for the post:
