The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday (May 30, 2026) carried out a major administrative reshuffle at the district level, transferring and posting 10 IAS officers. As part of the exercise, five districts have got new District Collectors.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- R Kirlosh Kumar (IAS:2001:TN), Principal Secretary to Governor, Lok Bhavan, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department.
- Sharanya Ari (IAS:2016:TN), Additional Director, Social Welfare, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Perambalur district.
- N Mirunalini (IAS:2017:TN), District Collector, Perambalur, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Ariyalur district.
- Malathi Helen (IAS:2017:TN), former District Collector, Chengalpattu, has been appointed as District Collector, Chennai district.
- M Sivaguru Prabakaran (IAS:2018:TN), Commissioner, Corporation of Coimbatore, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Ramanathapuram district.
- S Kavitha (IAS:2020:TN), Joint Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Tiruvallur district.
- Chitra Vijayan (IAS:2019:TN), Commissioner, Corporation of Madurai, has been placed at the disposal of Greater Chennai Corporation for appointment as Regional Deputy Commissioner (North).
- Veer Pratap Singh (IAS:2019:TN), Deputy Secretary (Protocol), Public Department, has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Tiruchirappalli for appointment as its Commissioner.
- Gaurav Kumar (IAS:2020:TN), Executive Director, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Madurai for appointment as its Commissioner.
- Katta Ravi Teja (IAS:2020:TN), Regional Deputy Commissioner (North), Greater Chennai Corporation, has been placed at the disposal of Corporation of Coimbatore for appointment as its Commissioner.
