Senior IPS officer Vijay Prakash (IPS:1996:UP) has been appointed as Additional Director General (ADG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Currently, he is Inspector General (IG) in CISF.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (October 3, 2025), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Prakash to the post from the date he assumes charge and up to December 14, 2028 — marking a combined tenure of seven years — or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
