CRPF IG Sonal V Misra gets on year extension

The deputation tenure of Sonal V Misra (IPS:2000:TN) as Inspector General (IG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been extended for a period of one year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (04.01.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend the deputation tenure of Ms. Misra for a period of one year beyond 20.12.2024 (total 8 years), in relaxation of the IPS tenure policy.
