UP: 4 senior IAS officers shifted, 3 assigned additional charges

The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday (12.08.2024) effected significant changes in state’s bureaucracy by issuing transfer and posting orders for 7 senior IAS officers. Among them, 4 officers have been assigned new roles, while 3 have been given additional responsibilities.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Monika Garg (IAS:1989:UP), Additional Chief Secretary, Minority Development & Muslim Waqf Department, has been given additional charge of Agriculture Production Commissioner.
2. Alok Kumar-II (IAS:1993:UP), Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, MSME & Export Promotion, Handloom & Textile & Khadi & Gramodyog Deptt, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Vocational Education and Skill Development.
3. Beena Kumari Meena (IAS:1993:UP), Principal Secretary, ICDS, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Aayush Department. She will continue to hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Cane and Excise Departments.
4. Leena Johri (IAS:1994:UP), Principal Secretary, Ayush & Stamp and registration Deptt. has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Women Welfare and ICDS Departments.
5. Ravindra Naik (IAS:1995:UP), Principal Secretary, Administration Reforms & Public Service Deptt., & Director, Administration Reforms Directorate, Secretariat Administration, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry.
6. M Devraj (IAS:1996:UP), Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Vocational Education & Skill Development, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Appointment & Personnel Department with additional charge of GST Department.
7. Ravinder (IAS:1999:UP), Principal Secretary, Fisheries Deptt and Animal Husbandry has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Agriculture.
