NITI Aayog appoints four distinguished fellows

NITI Aayog announced the appointment of four distinguished fellows for a duration of one year, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

The new members, namely Anoop Singh, OP Agarwal, Ajai Chowdhry, and V Lakshmikumaran, bring with them substantial professional backgrounds, complemented by their deep insights and proficiency in crucial social, economic, and technical matters.

Anoop Singh, currently a member of the Fifteenth Finance Commission, boasts a noteworthy tenure at the International Monetary Fund, where he served as the director of the Asia Pacific department. OP Agarwal, a 1979-batch IAS officer, offers extensive experience and specialized knowledge in urban transport. Ajai Chowdhry, a co-founder of HCL, has been instrumental in shaping the electronics industry in India. V Lakshmikumaran, a Legal Expert with 35 years of legal experience, rounds out the quartet of distinguished fellows.
