K S Rejimon gets one-year extension as NITI Aayog Joint Secretary

The ACC has approved a one-year extension in the central deputation tenure of K S Rejimon as Joint Secretary in NITI Aayog.

New Delhi: The central deputation tenure of K S Rejimon (ISS:1998) as Joint Secretary in NITI Aayog has been extended by one year.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (August 29, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved NITI Aayog’s proposal to extend his central deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond September 8, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Notably, Rejimon had assumed charge as Joint Secretary in NITI Aayog on September 8, 2021, for an initial tenure of five years. With his original tenure scheduled to expire on September 8, 2026, the ACC has now approved its extension for another year.
