The tenure of Dodda Venkata Swamy (IAS:2001:OR), currently serving as the Chairman (JS level) of the Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA) in Kochi, has been extended. This extension, as per an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, the 18th of October 2023, has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Mr. Swamy’s tenure has been prolonged for an additional two years, starting from the 18th of March 2024 and concluding on the 17th of March 2026. This extension was proposed by the Department of Commerce and subsequently approved, ensuring his continued service in this important role.
