The Maharashtra government on Wednesday (29.06.22) appointed senior IPS officer Vivek Phanaslkar (IPS:1989:MH) as the new Police Commissioner of Mumbai. Outgoing CP Sanjay Pandey (IPS:1986:MH) is scheduled to retire on Thursday (30 June). Prior to this assignment, Phanaslkar was serving as the DG and MD of Police Housing and Welfare Corporation.
