The Punjab government on Tuesday promoted eight IPS officers (1995 and 1996 batch) from the Inspector General of Police to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP).
The names of the officers are :
- Kapil Dev (IPS:1995) (Proforma promotion)
- Promod Ban (IPS:1995)
- Mohd. Faiyaz Farooqui (IPS:1995)
- Amit Prasad (IPS:1995)
- G Nageswara Rao (IPS:1995)
- Vibhu Raj (IPS:1996)
- Rajiv Ahir (IPS:1996) (Proforma promotion)
- Lakshmee Kant Yadav (IPS:1996)
