In an unusual move, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has removed three officers working in the personal staff of Union Minister Bhupender Yadav.
According to separate orders issued on July 3, 2026, Private Secretary Amar Singh (IRS-IT:2010) has been sent back to his parent department, the Department of Revenue, on administrative grounds. He has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
In another order, Additional Private Secretary Shailesh Kumar Singh has been sent back to his parent department, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) before completing his tenure. He has also been relieved with immediate effect.
In a third order, the appointment of Additional Private Secretary Ayush Saran has been terminated with immediate effect.
All three officers have been relieved from the Minister’s office on the same day. However, none of the official orders mention the reasons for these decisions.
Notably, Amar Singh had been serving as Private Secretary to Bhupender Yadav since 2021, when the Minister was handling the Labour and Employment Ministry, and continued in the role after he took charge of the Environment Ministry. His tenure was scheduled to continue until September 2026.
