Tarun Bajaj (IAS:1988:HY) on Friday took over as the new Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), after superannuation of Atanu Chakraborty (Retd.IAS:1985:GJ) on 30 April. Prior to taking over this post he was Additional Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office.
