SKG Rahate appointed as Chairperson, Airports Economic Regulatory Authority

Former Secretary in the Department of Justice SKG Rahate (Retd. IAS:1990:JH) on Saturday (12.05.2024) appointed as the Chairperson of the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) for a tenure of three years. Rahate retired from government service just a few days earlier on April 30, 2024.

The Government of India established the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) in accordance with the AERA Act (2008). AERA’s primary responsibility is to regulate tariff and other charges for aeronautical services provided at airports.
