SK Jha gets extension as Joint Secretary in Department of Revenue

New Delhi: The tenure of SK Jha (CSS), serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue, has been extended until his retirement.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (October 6, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Revenue to extend Jha tenure beyond August 28, 2026, until October 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

With the latest approval, Jha will continue as Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue until October 31, 2027, which is the date of his retirement, unless otherwise ordered.
