New Delhi: The central deputation tenure of Shah Faesal (IAS:2010:AGMUT) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture has been extended for another two years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (August 19, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Culture to extend his deputation tenure by two years beyond September 18, 2026, and up to September 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Faesal has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture since September 18, 2022. His existing four-year tenure was scheduled to end on September 18, 2026.
Notably, his posting in the Ministry of Culture was his first assignment after his resignation from the IAS was withdrawn and he was reinstated into service in April 2022.
