Senior IAS officer Sanoj Kumar Jha (IAS:1997:SK), Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited (NLCIL).
NLC India Limited announced that Jha has been assigned the additional responsibility of leading the company. The company said he brings rich administrative experience and an in-depth understanding of the coal and energy sectors.
According to NLCIL, his experience in policy formulation, strategic planning and governance is expected to support the company’s ongoing transformation into a diversified energy enterprise with a growing presence in mining, power generation and renewable energy.
The company further said it looks forward to accelerating its strategic initiatives, including capacity expansion, operational efficiency, digital transformation, renewable energy expansion and diversification into emerging sectors under his leadership.
