MP govt transfers 9 IPS officers; new SPs for Shahdol, Shajapur

The Madhya Pradesh government on Friday (July 3, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for nine IPS officers. The reshuffle includes the appointment of new Superintendents of Police (SPs) for Shahdol and Shajapur, besides transfers of senior officers at the level of Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG). The government has also assigned additional charge to two senior IPS officers.

The officers transferred and posted are:

1. Harinarayan Chari Mishra (IPS:2003:MP), IG (SCRB), PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as IG (Administration), PHQ, Bhopal.
2. Ruchi Vardhan Mishra (IPS:2006:MP), IG (Administration), PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as IG, Bhopal (Rural) Range.
3. Chandrashekhar Solanki (IPS:2006:MP), IG, SAF, Indore Range, with additional charge of IG, RAPTC, Indore, has been transferred and posted as IG, Narmadapuram Zone, Narmadapuram.
4. Mithilesh Shukla (IPS:2006:MP), IG, Narmadapuram Zone, Narmadapuram, with additional charge of IG, Sagar Zone, Sagar, has been transferred and posted as IG, Sagar Zone, Sagar.
5. Simala Prasad (IPS:2011:MP), DIG, PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Khargone Range, Khargone.
6. Yashpal Singh Rajput (IPS:2012:MP), SP, Shajapur, has been transferred and posted as SP, Railway, Indore.
7. Ramji Shrivastava (IPS:2013:MP), SP, Shahdol, has been transferred and posted as Assistant IG, MP Police Academy, Bhauri, Bhopal.
8. Sanjay Kumar Agrawal (IPS:2016:MP), Assistant IG, MP Police Academy, Bhauri, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as SP, Shahdol.
9. Priyanka Shukla (IPS:2019:MP), Assistant IG, PHQ, Bhopal, has been transferred and posted as SP, Shajapur.

Additionally, the government has assigned the following additional charges:

• Adarsh Katiyar (IPS:1992:MP), Special DGP (Administration), PHQ, Bhopal, has been given additional charge of Special DGP, Telecommunication, PHQ, Bhopal, in addition to his present duties.
• Anurag (IPS:2003:MP), IG, Indore (Rural) Zone, has been given additional charge of IG, SAF, Indore Range, and IG, RAPTC, Indore, in addition to his present responsibilities.
