MJ Chethan (IRS-C&IT:2009) was on Friday (13.09.2024) appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to HD Kumaraswamy, Minister for Heavy Industries & Steel for five years. His appointment is specially pertains to Ministry of Steel.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr Chethan to the post for five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
He will assume the role of the post at Director level.
