Major JS-level reshuffle effected at Centre

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the appointment of over 18 officers to the post of Joint Secretary in various ministries and departments.

The names of the officers and their postings as follows :

1. Navneet Gupta (IA&AS:1997) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunication for a tenure of five years vice Shashi Ranjan Kumar (IAS:1992:TR).

2. Dipti Mohil Chawla (IDAS:1995) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for a tenure of five years vice Ravi Kant (IOFS:1986).

3. Nita Kejrewal (CSS) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for a tenure of five years vice Alka Upadhyaya (IAS:1990:MP).

4. Siddhartha Singh Longjam (IA&AS:1994) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Sports for a tenure of five years vice Pankaj Rag (IAS:1990:MP).

5. Sunil Kumar (IRAS:1995) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for a tenure of five years vice Sandeep Pondrik (IAS:1993:BH).

6. Ms. Meera Ranjan Tsering (IPoS:1988) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs for an overall tenure of five years vice Vinod Kumar Tiwari (IFoS:1986:HP).

7. V. K. Dewangan (IAS:1993:MN) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power for overall tenure of five years vice Ms. Bharati (IFoS:1992:SK).

8. J.P. Agrawal (CSS) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Official Language for a tenure upto his superannuation on November 30, 2019 vice Bipin Behari (IFoS:1985:UT).

9. Abhishek Singh (IAS:1995:NL) has been appointed to the post of Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), under the Department of Agricultural Research & Education for a tenure of five years against a newly created post.

10. Ram Prasad Meena (IPS:1993:AM) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment for a tenure of five years vice Shri Babu Lal Meena (IAS:1991:UP) consequent on completion of his tenure on May 05, 2019.

11. Rajesh Kumar (IAS:1988:MN) has been appointed as Principal Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs for an overall tenure of five years vice J.P. Agrawal (CSS).

12. L. K. Meena (CSS)  has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure upto his superannuation on February 28, 2021 vice Shri Rajesh Kumar, IAS(MN:88).

13. Ms. Anu Nagar (IFoS:1995:HP) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health Research for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Sarita Mittal, CSS, the officer is to move now against available vacancy of Shri V. K. Gauba, CSS in the Department and Ms Geeta Narayan, CSS posted earlier will move consequent on superannuation of Ms. Sarita Mittal, CSS on 31.05.2019.

14. Daniel Richards( CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, National Commission for Minorities (NCM) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Shri Ajoy Kumar (IAS:1984:SH)

15. Ms. Nigar Fatima Husain (IDES:1996) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs for an overall tenure of five years vice K.C. Samria (IAS:1993:AM) consequent on completion of his tenure on May 5, 2019.

16. Srivats Krishna (IAS:1994:KN) has been appointed as Secretary, Coffee Board under the Department of Commerce, by temporarily upgrading the post at JS level for an overall tenure of five years at the Centre.

17. Ms. K Sunitha (IAS:1996:AP) has been appointed as Executive Director, Tobacco Board under the Department of Commerce by temporarily upgrading the post at JS level for an overall tenure of five years at the Centre.

18. Sandeep Pondrik (IAS:1993:BH) has been appointed as Advisor, National Disaster Management Authority (NOMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years, further extendable for a combined tenure of seven years on availability of Cadre Clearance against an existing vacancy.
