Devendra Kumar gets two-year extension as Director in DBT Mission

IRPS officer Devendra Kumar has been granted a two-year extension as Director in the DBT Mission, Cabinet Secretariat. His deputation will now continue till August 25, 2028.

New Delhi: The central deputation tenure of Devendra Kumar (IRPS:2009) as Director in the DBT Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, has been extended by two years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (July 13, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal to extend his deputation tenure for a period of two years beyond August 25, 2026, i.e. up to August 25, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Notably, Devendra Kumar has been serving in the DBT Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, since August 25, 2021. He initially assumed charge of the post at the Deputy Secretary level and was subsequently redesignated as Director.
